Whether we are using diesel or gasoline car, muffler becomes one of the most crucial car parts. The major purpose of muffler in our car is to make the car sound smoother. However, today’s people are very expressive and they are also expressing it through their car. One way people express themselves and give character to their car is by giving a modification to their car muffler, so it can give a specific sound. Here are some muffler styles that can be our reference when we want to buy one.

The first muffler is turbo muffler. It was used for the first time in 1960. This muffler type is having a path which shape is like S letter. The major advantage of this muffler type is the durability of the inside part.  The second type is multiple baffler mufflers. Just like its name, this muffler type is having multiple baffles in the inside. It makes a car sound so smooth and silent.

The third type is straight- through muffler. This muffler type is completed with tube and make good exhaust system flowing. Last, but not least are mufflers from stainless steel and aluminum. Both of the mufflers are the most common one. Stainless steel is considered more durable than aluminum, but aluminum is so much lighter than stainless steel.
